GAIL India Ltd. has decided to keep its C4 LLDPE price high this month amidst restricted feedstock i.e. Butene production and increased demand-supply gap. However, a significant fall in non-dutiable C6 mLLDPE (metallocene linear low-density polyethylene) prices has been observed as more C6 supply is on the horizon. India’s sole mLLDPE manufacturer, GAIL has been trying to draw down its inventory levels by cutting off its profit margins and selling the commodity at relatively lower prices.
