In February 2025, Europe holds stagnancy in PMMA (polymethyl methacrylate) prices. European PMMA show no significant increase or decrease in the price trend. This could indicate the stability in the demand and supply as well. Even the downstream industries remained stable whereas the injection moulding and high-impact grades showed some upward trend. However, despite these variations, the market remains low. For the price incline of PMMA in European countries downstream industries have to increase the demand.

On the contrary, the US market witnessed a decline in the price of PMMA whereas the downstream industries, automobile and construction industry experienced significant growth. As the PMMA is used for making the interior part of automobile vehicles, its demand rises due to the incline in the sales trend of four-wheelers.  The price of feedstock Methyl Meth Acrylate (MMA) also showed a decline which is the monomer of PMMA along with this the upstream acetone also shows a downward trend.

At the same time, Japan market show slight decline in the price of PMMA while the automative and construction industry in Japan shows significant growth. As the automative and construction industry are the downstream industry their increasing growth vary the price trend of PMMA in every aspect. The upstream acetone remained stagnant due to the balanced supply and demand dynamics.

Like Japan and Other countries, South Korea also follows the same trend. The stagnant behaviour of the price trend shown by the PMMA is all because of the stable supply and demand dynamics of acetone. Despite this, sales of automobiles in South Korea increased by 13.2% in the month of February compared to the same month in previous years.  Increasing sales growth affects the demand which can break the stagnant behaviour of the PMMA price trend. In the middle of February, the prices showed some fluctuation but as the month came to its end the price of PMMA followed stagnant behaviour.

In the meantime, in China, the streak of stagnancy behaviour of PMMA, along with the behaviour of acetone also follows the same trend while the automotive industry and construction industry incline demand of the PMMA. This growth of demand tells the upcoming behaviour of the polymer in some manner but at the same time, The price trend of MMA shows a decline in the China market which is the monomer of PMMA. Whereas the demand and supply chain remain stable in the market.
