The Röhm Group has announced global price adjustments for its acrylic molding compounds in response to shifting geopolitical dynamics and upcoming tariff increases that are impacting international trade.

Effective April 14, 2025, Röhm GmbH and its affiliated companies will revise pricing for several product lines impacted by rising production and distribution costs. These adjustments are a direct response to new and increased tariffs affecting key raw materials, intermediates and finished products used in the company’s specialty grades.

The affected product families include those sold under the trademarks PLEXIGLAS® (marketed as ACRYLITE® in the Americas), PLEXIMID® (ACRYMID® in the Americas), XT® Polymers, CYREX® and CYROLITE®. These materials are commonly used across industries including automotive, medical, electronics and construction.

“With the global trade environment undergoing significant changes, we must respond proactively to safeguard the continued supply and quality of our materials,” the company stated. “New tariffs directly impact the cost structure of our operations, particularly for specialty compounds.”

The Röhm Group emphasized that this pricing action is necessary to offset the increased expenses related to sourcing and manufacturing. The company reaffirmed its commitment to working closely with customers during the transition and providing transparency regarding the changes.

“Maintaining the reliability and performance of our products remains a top priority,” Röhm said. “We are taking this step to ensure the long-term availability and consistency of our acrylic-based solutions.”

In markets where tariffs have created cost disparities, Röhm reserves the right to further adjust pricing as necessary. The company will continue to monitor international trade policies and their impact on its supply chain, and may implement additional measures in the future in response to further developments.

Röhm Group is a global leader in acrylic-based materials, with a product portfolio that supports a wide range of high-performance applications.
