Sojitz Corporation (“Sojitz”) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (“MOU”) with Keppel Ltd. (“Keppel”), a leading global asset manager and operator based in Singapore, to establish a strategic partnership. This alliance aims to explore joint opportunities in the energy solutions sector and to develop a comprehensive biofuel supply chain across the Asia-Pacific region. By combining their expertise and resources, Sojitz and Keppel seek to drive innovation and growth in sustainable energy solutions, enhancing their market presence and contributing to the region’s energy transition.

Under this strategic alliance, Sojitz and Keppel will pursue collaborative opportunities across the Asia-Pacific region in energy solutions and biofuel businesses. Their focus includes developing district cooling systems, which offer lower CO2 emissions compared to conventional air conditioning, as well as advancing the production and distribution of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and bioethanol. This partnership aligns with Sojitz's Medium-term Management Plan 2026, which designates the “Energy & Materials Solutions” sector as a strategic priority. Sojitz is dedicated to advancing projects that support a decarbonized and circular economy, reflecting its commitment to sustainability and innovative energy solutions.

Keppel is renowned for its extensive expertise in sustainability-related solutions across infrastructure, real estate, and connectivity sectors.
