Phillips 66 Reaches Full Renewable Fuel Production at Rodeo

Phillips 66 (NYSE: PSX) has announced today the complete transformation of the Rodeo Renewable Energy Complex, scaling up commercial production and solidifying its leadership in renewable fuels.
The Rodeo facility in the San Francisco Bay Area has ramped up production to about 50,000 barrels per day (800 million gallons per year), meeting Phillips 66's target of reaching full capacity by the second quarter of 2024. This milestone underscores Phillips 66's dedication to contributing significantly to the energy transition and offering customers lower-carbon alternatives.

Introduced in 2020, Rodeo Renewed is engineered to manufacture renewable diesel and sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), alongside other products. Beyond serving California markets, the facility supplies renewable diesel to regions across the West Coast.
The Rodeo complex integrates new pre-treatment units for processing feedstocks with lower carbon intensity, including used cooking oil, fats, greases, and vegetable oil. It commenced production of approximately 30,000 barrels per day (BPD) of renewable fuel by the conclusion of the first quarter of 2024.
