CSBP's granulation plant at its Kwinana works is the only facility in Australia dedicated solely to compound fertiliser granulation. Located within the Kwinana manufacturing hub, CSBP adeptly combines nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium inputs to create premium cropping fertilisers specifically tailored to the unique soil conditions of Western Australia. Among the flagship products produced at this granulation plant are CSBP's locally developed Agras, MacroPro, and K-Till ranges, all crafted from high-quality raw materials sourced both locally and internationally.

These product lines are designed to meet the specific nutrient requirements of WA soils, ensuring that crops receive the essential macro and micro-nutrients they need for optimal growth and productivity. Moreover, the locally developed ranges provide superior handling capabilities, making them easier for growers to work with in the field. The granulation plant represents just one aspect of CSBP's extensive infrastructure network, which also includes a Superphosphate Manufacturing Plant and various liquid fertiliser facilities that produce Flexi-N, further enhancing the company's ability to meet diverse agricultural needs.

Ryan Lamp, General Manager of CSBP Fertilisers, highlighted the significance of local manufacturing in the company’s strategic operations. "For more than 50 years, CSBP has been producing compound fertiliser products through the Granulation Plant, which is central to our goal of providing Western Australian growers with the most reliable and premium-quality cropping fertilisers available," Mr. Lamp stated. He underscored that every soil type is unique, and a key benefit of local manufacturing is the ability to work closely with growers to assess their soil nutrient status and develop fertilisers that specifically address their crop requirements.

As logistics become increasingly critical during the seeding period, CSBP's local production allows for better quality management of fertilisers, reducing the potential for disruption, waste, and additional costs associated with lower-quality products. The granulation plant is capable of operating 24 hours a day at peak production, with the capacity to manufacture up to 1,500 tonnes of compound fertiliser each day. The seasonal production cycle typically begins with the manufacture of Agras, followed by MacroPro, while the K-Till range is produced closer to the seeding period to meet immediate demands.

CSBP has also begun importing the raw materials necessary for local manufacture, ensuring a steady supply for its production needs. With the granulation plant now fully operational, the company strongly encourages growers to forecast and confirm their fertiliser requirements for the 2025 season. Products manufactured at the granulation plant are dispatched from CSBP’s Kwinana works and delivered through a comprehensive network of regional distribution centres and depots, ensuring that growers have timely access to high-quality fertilisers when they need them most. This approach not only reinforces CSBP’s commitment to local agriculture but also supports the broader goal of enhancing agricultural productivity across Western Australia.
