Western Metallica Resources Corp. (TSXV: WMS) has initiated drilling operations at its Luz Maria copper porphyry prospect, part of the Caña Brava Project in Northern Peru. The company plans to drill 2,100 meters across six holes to test high magnetic and chargeability anomalies, as well as copper and molybdenum geochemical anomalies identified through previous exploration.

The drill program aims to test high magnetic and chargeability anomalies, as well as copper and molybdenum geochemical anomalies. Previous exploration efforts have indicated significant mineralization potential. The strategic location of the Caña Brava Project, near infrastructure and aligned with major Andean porphyry systems, further enhances its attractiveness.

Previous rock sampling at Luz Maria revealed anomalous copper and molybdenum grades, with copper anomalies remaining open to the west. The Caña Brava Project, spanning 5,700 hectares, exhibits similarities to significant copper discoveries like Hudbay's Llaguen Cu-Mo deposit. With its strategic location, low elevation, and proximity to the port of Salaverry, Caña Brava holds the potential to become a substantial copper-molybdenum project.

Western Metallica anticipates releasing initial drill results by the first week of December. The company aims to provide regular updates on the ongoing drilling program, with an estimated 100-150 assays per month.

Gregory Duras, CEO of Western Metallica, expressed enthusiasm for the drilling program at Luz Maria. He highlighted the project's significant exploration potential and its alignment with major Andean porphyry systems. Duras anticipates that the initial drill results will provide valuable insights into Caña Brava's economic viability as a copper-molybdenum project.

Western Metallica's exploration efforts at the Luz Maria prospect represent a significant step towards unlocking the value of the Caña Brava Project. The company's strategic approach and strong technical team position it well to deliver substantial discoveries and create significant shareholder value.
