As part of its expansion strategy in the liquefied natural gas (LNG) sector, TotalEnergies reveals the conclusion of two fresh LNG medium- and long-term contracts in Asia:

• A sales and purchase agreement (SPA) with Indian Oil Corporation (IOCL) for the supply of up to 800,000 tons per annum of LNG to India over a ten-year period commencing in 2026.

• An agreement (HoA) with Korea South-East Power for the provision of approximately 500,000 tons per annum of LNG to South Korea over a five-year period starting from 2027.

These contracts enable TotalEnergies to establish medium-term channels for its worldwide LNG supply portfolio. Additionally, they bolster the Company's presence in Asian markets, reflecting its strong dedication to assisting customers in their decarbonization initiatives.

"We are pleased to have been chosen by IOCL and Korea South-East Power to provide LNG to India and Korea. These agreements allow us to support the energy security and transition efforts of these nations, aligning with our longstanding commitment to them," stated Gregory Joffroy, Senior Vice President of LNG at TotalEnergies.

As the world's third-largest LNG participant, TotalEnergies possesses a global portfolio of 44 Mt/y as of 2023, facilitated by its stakes in liquefaction facilities spanning various regions. Leveraging an integrated position across the LNG value chain, the company engages in production, transportation, and benefits from access to over 20 Mt/y of regasification capacity in Europe, alongside trading and LNG bunkering activities. TotalEnergies aims to elevate the proportion of natural gas in its sales mix to nearly 50% by 2030, a move intended to curtail carbon emissions and eliminate methane emissions associated with the gas value chain. Moreover, the company endeavors to collaborate with local partners to facilitate the shift from coal to natural gas.
