The two vessels will enter into long-term charter agreements with the Attica Group, including an option for purchase and the potential for two additional vessels.

The E-Flexer series features larger vessels compared to standard RoPax ferries and offers exceptional flexibility. Each ship is customized to meet specific customer requirements, both commercially and technically.

The streamlined design of the hull, propellers, and rudders, combined with opportunities to integrate new eco-friendly technologies, ensures that the E-Flexer vessels lead in sustainability, performance, and cost efficiency.

The vessels are equipped with multi-fuel engines capable of running on traditional marine fuels like HFO or MGO, as well as biodiesel, with readiness for methanol use. The E-Flexer concept is meticulously designed to meet upcoming environmental standards, ensuring compliance with current and anticipated international regulations through advanced technical specifications. The ships will be classified with the notation "Battery power," enabling future adaptation for propulsion using batteries, either partially or fully, depending on advancements in battery technology.

Panos Dikaios, CEO of Attica Group, remarked: "For thirty years, Attica Group has consistently revitalized itself through the design and construction of new vessels. The Superfast series set new benchmarks in quality and speed for the Adriatic ferry market, while sister vessels like Blue Star Patmos and Blue Star Delos significantly enhanced travel experiences on Aegean Sea routes. Most recently, our state-of-the-art Aero Highspeed vessels have substantially boosted tourism to the Saronic Islands. Our agreement with Stena RoRo to charter two new cutting-edge vessels establishes unprecedented standards within the Greek ferry industry. This initiative not only minimizes our environmental impact but also redefines the passenger experience and effectively addresses future challenges."

Per Westling, CEO of Stena RoRo, commented: "The E-Flexer vessels destined for Attica have been collaboratively designed and commissioned as the most customized E-Flexers to date. Their design is exceptionally adaptable, and with their versatility in utilizing various fuels, battery hybrid capabilities, and numerous fuel-saving innovations, these ships will play a crucial role in Attica Superfast's green transition within the Adriatic RoPax service."

Stena RoRo has secured orders for 15 E-Flexer vessels and two "New Max" RoRo vessels at CMI Jinling, Weihai shipyard. To date, ten ships have already been delivered.

The upcoming E-Flexer vessels, designated as No. 14 and 15 in Stena RoRo's ambitious fleet expansion, are set to impress with their impressive dimensions and capabilities. Measuring 240 meters in length, 27.8 meters in beam width, and boasting a draft of 6.4 meters, these ships are designed for efficiency and versatility. They will accommodate up to 1500 passengers and offer 3320 square meters of cargo space, ensuring robust capabilities for both passenger comfort and freight transport. Featuring 256 passenger cabins, these vessels are tailored to enhance the onboard experience while maintaining a brisk operational pace of 24 knots, underscoring their commitment to both speed and sustainability in modern maritime transport.
