Solaris Chemtech is a renowned name in the production of Bromine and Bromine-based chemicals in India. The company has an installed capacity of 23.5 KT per annum of Bromine plant in Rann of Kutch, Gujarat, contributing a prominent share in supply of Bromine in the domestic market. Bromine is produced by utilizing Brine solution as a raw material. The seasonal shortage of Brine Solution along with the abrupt shutdown of its plant for 8 days in the second half of December has affected the demand and supply gap of Bromine in India. Thus, an increase in the prices of Bromine is witnessed due to the seasonal shortage of its raw material followed by the plant shutdown of Solaris Chemtech.
