Safic-Alcan, a prominent distributor of specialty chemicals, has announced the acquisition of a majority stake in Avees Biocos Private Limited, a leading personal care chemical distributor in India. Founded in 2007 by Rahul and Deepti Sawhney, with the guidance of the late Mr. G.K. Sawhney, Avees Biocos has established itself as a trusted partner in sourcing advanced technology ingredients and formulating unique cosmetic products. The company offers a wide range of products, including biopolymers, preservatives, emollients, sensory modifiers, UV filters, active ingredients for skin and hair care, emulsifiers, fragrances, and functional polymers.

Based in Gurugram, Avees Biocos operates a cutting-edge innovation center that enables the development of customized formulation solutions for its clients. The acquisition by Safic-Alcan is seen as a strategic move to expand its presence in the Asia Pacific region and enhance its footprint in the personal care market globally, creating strong synergies across continents.
