In March prices of nicotinamide (Vitamin B3) witnessed a sharp decline in global market. This is a result of weak demand from key downstream sectors and increased availability of nicotinamide in the market. Prices of nicotinamide saw a decline across major markets, including China, India, Germany, the USA, and South Korea. With Chinese production resuming to normal after Lunar New Year and shipping prices coming down, the bearish trend had spread to both importing and exporting countries. Even though the nicotinamide market is under pressure, market participants expect a stabilization in the next few months.
The nicotinamide market recorded strong price corrections in major markets across the globe, with Asian as well as Western markets witnessing a declining trend. China, being a major producer and exporter, logged a price fall as production volumes came back to normal levels. The heightened supply of the nicotinamide in the domestic as well as overseas markets also helped drive prices back.
The Indian market also followed suit, with domestic prices of nicotinamide softening owing to lacklustre buying interest from end-user sectors, especially pharmaceuticals and personal care. South Korea, Germany, and the USA also saw falling prices of nicotinamide based on cheaper imports and shrinking bulk purchases from buyers who expected further price revisions. The reduction in freight rates from China to key destinations such as the USA and Europe also contributed to the downward pressure, making the nicotinamide cheaper in these markets.
ChemAnalyst expects nicotinamide prices to stay under pressure in the short term, with more changes likely in the weeks ahead. But hopes of rising demand from major industries and a gradual normalization in supply chain patterns may help balance the nicotinamide market. Although the nicotinamide market is still bearish at present, a possible rebound is likely as buyers return to restocking at competitive prices.
ChemAnalyst suggests the nicotinamide sellers to be watchful of adaptable pricing methods and closely follow demand patterns. Competitive pricing and price-sensitive discounting may assist in keeping sales volumes stable. Buyers and importers should consider this the right time to buy nicotinamide inventories at attractive prices, while keeping a lookout for stabilization in the next few months. Should be cautious but not dormant, observing worldwide supply-demand dynamics and freight prices to make smart purchases and sales.
With the nicotinamide market trending toward stabilization, business operators need to approach tactics well so that they can counter challenges and harness probable chances as market dynamics adjust to the months that will come.
