New Fortress Energy Reaches Milestone with First LNG Production in Mexico

New Fortress Energy Inc. (“NFE” or the “Company”) announced today that it has achieved its first LNG production from its initial Fast LNG asset located offshore Altamira, Mexico (“FLNG”). This milestone marks FLNG as the fastest large-scale LNG project ever developed.

NFE’s innovative Fast LNG design is the first of its kind, combining the latest modular liquefaction technology with jack-up rigs or similar offshore infrastructure, allowing for a quicker deployment compared to traditional liquefaction facilities.

With a production capacity of 1.4 MTPA, or approximately 70 TBtus, FLNG fully integrates into NFE’s LNG portfolio and will be crucial in providing low-cost, clean LNG to the Company’s downstream terminal customers.
