Major Fire Breaks Out at SVR Laboratories, No Casualties Reported as Quick Action Prevents Disaster

India: A fire broke out at a chemical plant in Bhudanpochampally, India when Tolin, a solvent, was loaded into a reactor. No casualties were reported, and the fire was quickly extinguished by local emergency personnel.
SVR Laboratories in Dothigudem's A block was hit by a major fire. The Bhudanpochampally mandal village and district were affected by the raging inferno that erupted.
Employees and other personnel were able to put out the fire with assistance from firefighters. They later reported that a bigger disaster had been narrowly avoided.
At approximately 2:50 p.m. local time, a fire erupted at the A block of a plant while Tolin solvent was being loaded into the reactor. Six workers who were present at the site ran outside to seek assistance. Police and eyewitnesses reported the incident.
SVR Laboratories quickly acted when a fire broke out as they called Hegelo Laboratories to send a fire tender along with the necessary equipment. The blaze was successfully put out using this equipment.
Firefighters were called in after an alarm was raised at a local business. Upon arrival, police officers investigated the incident and spoke with both employees and eyewitnesses. The cause of the fire is still unknown pending further investigation.
The people of Dothigudem village have praised the staff and management of a local plant for taking precautions that have prevented any loss of life or property due to fire. They allege that in the past, a similar fire happened at the same plant, due to insufficient safety measures being taken.
