Lummus Technology, a leading provider of process technologies and energy solutions, and Versalis, Eni's chemical company, have announced a strategic partnership to license all of Versalis' technologies within the phenolics value chain.

This agreement significantly strengthens the collaboration between the two companies, enhancing their competitive position in this critical market. Lummus will now exclusively license Versalis' technologies, encompassing the entire phenolics production chain, from the initial Cumene production stage to the final Cyclohexanone Oxime step.

Beyond licensing, the partnership will involve close cooperation in various aspects of the business. Joint efforts will focus on engineering, marketing, and licensing activities. Moreover, both companies will collaborate on the supply of proprietary catalysts and equipment for the licensed processes.
