Jubilee, a diversified metals producer with operations in South Africa and Zambia, has revealed the successful first production of copper concentrate from the Front-End Module at its Roan concentrator facility in Zambia. This achievement marks a significant step forward for the company, following the recent commencement of production announced on August 8, 2024. The start of copper concentrate production at this facility highlights Jubilee's ongoing commitment to expanding its capabilities and advancing its position in the metals industry.

The copper concentrate produced from the Roan concentrator's Front-End Module, which targets material previously mined, will undergo refining at Jubilee’s Sable refinery to produce copper cathode. This new concentrate is set to complement the sulphide copper concentrate already being generated from Roan’s mill-and-float circuit. The existing sulphide concentrate is actively traded in the market, enhancing Jubilee's market presence. By incorporating the additional Front-End Module concentrate, Jubilee aims to further bolster its copper production capabilities and contribute to a more robust and diversified product offering.

The Front-End Module is set to be progressively scaled up during the third quarter of the year 2024. Jubilee’s Zambian copper processing operations now include the Roan mill-and-float circuit, the Front-End Module, and the Sable Refinery. The Sable Refinery is currently undergoing upgrades to support a combined in-country copper processing capacity exceeding 25,000 tonnes per annum. This expanded operational footprint reflects Jubilee’s strategic investment in enhancing its processing capabilities and strengthening its position in the copper industry.

Leon Coetzer, CEO of Jubilee, expressed enthusiasm about the company's progress as they begin executing their growth projects. He highlighted the production of the first upgraded concentrate from their processing modules as a pivotal achievement, marking the start of utilizing the full copper production capacity at their Zambian operations. Coetzer also extended his heartfelt thanks to the dedicated team and stakeholders whose support has been instrumental in reaching this milestone, emphasizing their crucial role in the company's success.

Jubilee Metals Group is a diversified metals recovery company specializing in extracting value from previously overlooked resources in South Africa and Zambia. Their core business involves processing historical waste rock, run-of-mine materials, and tailings to produce high-grade concentrates of copper, chrome, and platinum group metals. The company's unique value proposition centers around its modular, low-capital processing facilities that can be rapidly deployed near these resource-rich areas. This operational flexibility, combined with a proven track record of operational excellence and a strong leadership team, positions Jubilee for significant growth and expansion within the metals industry.
