Honeywell has unveiled that its Emissions Management Suite now holds Hazardous Location (HazLoc) and marine certifications, establishing it as one of the industry's pioneering end-to-end solutions for offshore oil and gas operations. This suite enables comprehensive measurement, monitoring, reporting, and reduction of emissions. Additionally, Honeywell has enhanced the suite by integrating new solar capabilities into its Honeywell Versatilis™ Signal Scout™ hardware. This upgrade extends the gas detector's operational lifespan by over eight years while significantly reducing maintenance needs. These advancements underscore Honeywell’s commitment to improving safety and efficiency in challenging environments.

By aiding the energy sector in minimizing its environmental impact, Honeywell’s Emissions Management Suite aligns with key megatrends such as energy transition and automation. Effective emissions management is particularly crucial for shallow water offshore oil and gas platforms, which can experience significantly higher methane leak rates compared to land operations. Uncontrolled emissions can expose offshore assets to stringent regulatory inspections and substantial fines if super-emitter events are detected.

Honeywell’s optimized solution delivers near real-time visibility for offshore oil and gas assets, facilitating prompt event response and the ability to balance emissions performance with production needs. On an enterprise level, this capability offers the flexibility to prioritize production from low-emissions platforms while temporarily reducing activity on higher-emissions assets until necessary repairs are completed. This approach ensures continuous production while effectively managing and controlling emissions, thereby enhancing operational efficiency and sustainability.

Pramesh Maheshwari, President of Honeywell Process Solutions, highlighted that Honeywell’s latest innovations offer a comprehensive solution for marine vessels and offshore platforms to accurately detect and report fugitive emissions in real time. He emphasized that Honeywell Forge Sustainability+ for Industrials software is pivotal in advancing the industry’s progress towards net-zero operations. By integrating this technology, Honeywell is helping companies achieve their sustainability goals and drive significant environmental improvements both onshore and offshore.

Honeywell's Emissions Management Suite empowers organizations to quantify and mitigate fugitive emissions. This comprehensive solution caters to diverse industries including upstream and downstream oil and gas, refining, chemicals, and utilities, providing actionable insights to drive emissions reduction initiatives.

Honeywell is a global technology leader operating across diverse industries. The company's strategic focus aligns with three key megatrends: automation, aviation advancement, and energy transition. Leveraging its Honeywell Accelerator operating system and Honeywell Forge IoT platform, the company provides innovative solutions and technologies to address complex global challenges. Through its Aerospace Technologies, Building Automation, Industrial Automation, and Energy and Sustainability Solutions segments, Honeywell partners with customers to drive operational efficiency, safety, and sustainability.
