Fulkrum, a leading provider of inspection, expediting, auditing, and technical staffing services, has secured a major multi-million-dollar contract to offer surveillance services for a significant gas hub development project in Iraq. This accomplishment marks a major milestone for the company, which is also expanding its footprint in the country by launching a new entity in Iraq. With the gas hub project poised to play a critical role in enhancing the country’s energy infrastructure, Fulkrum’s involvement is expected to be instrumental in ensuring the project’s success.
The gas hub development is set to be executed in multiple phases, with the first gas processing train being designed to accommodate future growth. This strategic approach ensures that the plant layout, Integrated Control and Safety Systems (ICSS), and power infrastructure are scalable, allowing for an efficient and adaptable expansion as the project progresses. The development is expected to significantly contribute to Iraq’s energy sector by improving gas processing and supporting the country’s overall energy goals.
Fulkrum’s scope of work for this project covers a wide range of responsibilities, including quality control and assurance, expediting, project and procurement management, and other crucial activities. These services will help ensure the project stays on track and adheres to the highest standards. Muhammad Tayyab, Fulkrum’s Regional Manager for the Middle East and Caspian, spoke of the project’s significance, describing it as a major win for the company. He stated, “This major project is a significant win for Fulkrum and marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for our team in Iraq. We are proud to contribute to a project that will enhance the region’s energy capabilities, and we are committed to delivering our high standards of service throughout its execution.”
In addition to the contract, Fulkrum’s establishment of a new entity in Basra, Iraq, marks an important step in expanding its presence and operational capabilities in the region. The new entity enhances the company’s ability to bid for and secure large-scale contracts, positioning Fulkrum as a key player in Iraq’s growing energy sector. This strategic move strengthens the company’s foundation for service delivery, ensuring Fulkrum is well-positioned to meet the needs of both new and existing clients, including several prominent operators in the region.
Tayyab emphasized the significance of the new entity in fulfilling Fulkrum’s commitment to Iraq. He noted, “The launch of our Iraq entity highlights our dedication to the region. Being locally based allows us to streamline operations and deliver customized services that meet the evolving needs of our clients. This positions us to better support our existing partners and pursue further opportunities with key operators in Iraq.”
With the establishment of the local entity, Fulkrum aims to build stronger relationships with clients and partners in Iraq’s dynamic energy market. This expansion is a critical part of the company’s broader strategy to enhance its operational capabilities in one of the world’s most promising energy sectors. By deepening its presence in Iraq, Fulkrum is poised to contribute significantly to the country’s energy future while continuing to deliver the high-quality services it is known for.
