US: Emergency personnel from five local fire departments responded late Monday evening to a chemical plant explosion at Winton Hills. No injuries were reported.

At 7:17 PM, St. Bernard Assistant Fire Chief Brodie Cianciolo responded to an explosion at Emery Oleochemicals on 4900 Este Ave. A small fire followed the incident and was successfully contained.

Reported that there were no injuries, and no one was taken to the hospital. There were no risks posed to the public or neighboring businesses, according to Cianciolo, who confirmed that the explosion was contained.
