Environment Ministry’s clean chit to IOCL for setting up its 2G ethanol plant in Panipat

IOCL (Indian Oil Corporation Limited) has been granted clearance by The Ministry of Environment to set up its proposed 100 KLPD Ligno-Cellulosic 2G ethanol plant at Baholi in Panipat district of Haryana. The estimated investment in setting up the plant is Rs 766 crore. This project would promote the use of environment friendly fuel and would also help in achieving government’s goal of improving farmers’ income. The Ethanol produced will be blended in transportation fuel.
