Dow has introduced a new line of REVOLOOP Recycled Plastics Resins, designed to incorporate post-consumer recycled (PCR) material into cable jacketing. This innovative product aims to support customers’ sustainability goals by offering a more circular approach to plastic use. The REVOLOOP Resins for cable jackets deliver performance comparable to that of virgin plastics, while providing environmental benefits, reinforcing Dow’s commitment to promoting circularity in the plastics industry.

The integration of PCR into wire and cable products helps divert plastic waste from landfills and the natural environment by reintroducing it into the circular economy. This initiative aligns with Dow’s broader "Transform the Waste" ambition, which aims to commercialize three million metric tons of circular and renewable solutions annually by 2030. The development represents a significant step toward Dow's mission to reduce plastic waste and support sustainable manufacturing practices.

Edit Berczi, Global Wire and Cable Marketing Manager for Dow’s Packaging and Specialty Plastics business, highlighted the broader implications of this launch. "With the introduction of REVOLOOP Resins for the global wire and cable industry, we are expanding our sustainability portfolio while helping our power and telecommunications customers meet their own targets," Berczi said. She emphasized that this offering, paired with Dow’s commitment to quality, reliability, and safety, supports global efforts to integrate PCR materials into everyday products.

Dow is leveraging its industry expertise, advanced technology, and reputation as a trusted supplier to facilitate a shift toward the use of PCR ingredients in the wire and cable industry. This move provides customers with more sustainable global options, enabling them to meet their environmental goals without sacrificing performance.

By launching REVOLOOP Resins, Dow is not only expanding its product offerings but also advancing the application of PCR materials in new markets. This development reflects the company's broader strategy of creating more circular and renewable solutions, aligning with global sustainability trends and contributing to the reduction of plastic waste worldwide.

Dow is a global leader in materials science, catering to high-growth sectors such as packaging, infrastructure, mobility, and consumer applications. With its extensive global presence, integrated assets, large-scale operations, and a focus on innovation, Dow holds leading positions in key markets. The company's commitment to sustainability drives both profitable growth and the delivery of a more sustainable future.
