Deepak Nitrite’s Acetone and Phenol plant at Dahej achieves 80 % capacity utilization rate.

Deepak Nitrites new plant at Dahej for manufacture of Acetone and Phenol has achieved an average capacity utilization rate of 80 % and a peak utilization of 100 % to meet the growing demands of the products in India. The newly commissioned plant has an existing capacity of 200,000 MTPA of phenol and 120,000 MTPA of acetone. The plant also has the capacity to manufacture 260,000 MT of cumene for captive consumption. This enhancement is domestic production would curb the imports thereby saving about INR 28,000 million in foreign exchange reserves for the country.
