Broaden Energy has teamed up with the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (ADDED) to inaugurate Abu Dhabi's inaugural hydrogen equipment manufacturing complex. This initiative aligns with the objectives of the Abu Dhabi Industrial Strategy (ADIS), promoting sustainability, fostering value chains, and enhancing Abu Dhabi's status as a leading industrial hub in the region.

With over AED 1 billion in investments, the new manufacturing complex will play a pivotal role in bolstering the region's hydrogen economy. It is poised to generate employment opportunities, drive economic growth, and foster innovative industrial solutions. ADDED and Broaden Energy will collaborate closely to ensure the project aligns with the strategic objectives of the UAE National Hydrogen Strategy and the Net Zero 2050 Strategy.

The UAE's National Hydrogen Strategy targets becoming a leading global producer of green hydrogen by 2031, aiming for an annual production capacity of 1.4 million tonnes. The strategy includes establishing hydrogen hubs to drive industry adoption, develop supply chains, and build essential infrastructure to attract international energy stakeholders. Through local production of hydrogen equipment, the complex will bolster the nation's energy infrastructure, positioning Abu Dhabi as a hub for industrial excellence and technological innovation.

Arafat Al Yafei, Executive Director of the Industrial Development Bureau (IDB) at ADDED, expressed pride in supporting Broaden Energy's pioneering initiative, which represents a significant advancement toward Abu Dhabi's industrial objectives. The hydrogen complex stands as a cornerstone in ADDED's commitment to bolstering the UAE's Net Zero 2050 ambitions through innovative solutions. Abu Dhabi's vibrant industrial sector prioritizes sustainability and remains a magnet for targeted investments across various industries.

Adnan Sokolija, CEO of Broaden Energy, emphasized that launching Abu Dhabi's inaugural hydrogen equipment manufacturing complex underscores their dedication to advancing renewable energy and aligning with the UAE's strategic vision. He expressed enthusiasm about collaborating with ADDED to realize this innovative project and contribute to a sustainable future.

The collaboration between ADDED and Broaden Energy will promote ongoing knowledge sharing and research in renewable energies and green hydrogen technologies. Positioned as a key element of Abu Dhabi's expanding industrial sector, this partnership aims to foster innovation, expedite the adoption of clean energy solutions, and bolster initiatives aimed at addressing climate change.

Beginning its journey as an MEP services provider in 2019, Broaden Energy embarked on a path focused on expanding capacity and forging new partnerships. This expansion sparked the company's interest in cutting-edge technologies and reinforced its dedication as challenges in the global energy landscape became more evident.
