Black Swan Graphene Inc. ("Black Swan" or the "Company") (TSXV: SWAN) (OTCQB: BSWGF) (Frankfurt: R96) announces the launch of its latest innovation in the GraphCore™-01 product line, the Graphene Enhanced Masterbatch (GEM) S27M. GEM S27M is a high-density polyethylene (HDPE) masterbatch infused with 10% graphene nanoplatelets (GNPs), offering transformative benefits.

HDPE is well-known for its excellent strength-to-density ratio, making it a preferred choice for packaging applications. When graphene is integrated, HDPE demonstrates enhanced mechanical characteristics, such as increased strength and durability. This enhancement ensures superior performance in rigorous applications, particularly in packaging and film production, including plastic bottles and garbage bags.

The debut of GEM S27M represents a notable leap forward in sustainable packaging. By incorporating this new HDPE masterbatch alongside recycled polyethylene (PE), Black Swan empowers its customers to improve material performance, showcasing a strong dedication to sustainability.

Chris Herron, Vice-President of Research and Product Development at Black Swan, stated: "Recycling polymers often diminishes some of their original properties. However, incorporating small amounts of graphene—usually less than 1%—can reinforce and enhance the original mechanical performance parameters."

GEM S27M is the fifth product in Black Swan's GraphCore line, available in significant quantities with short lead times. Recently, Black Swan also introduced several new products derived from its GraphCore Powder (GC1004):

1. GEM X23M, designed for Polypropylene applications, commonly used in automotive components like bumpers, interiors, battery casings, and general packaging. This GEM enhances impact resistance by approximately 20%.

2. GEM S24M, also for Polypropylene, improves tensile properties suitable for fiber applications in textiles, ropes, and composites.

3. GEM D26M enhances the tensile properties of Polyamide Nylon 6, a versatile engineering plastic used in automotive under-hood parts, electrical housings, seatbelts, and industrial wires.

4. GEM bB25L is tailored for thermoplastic polyurethane applications, such as fan belts, conveyor belts, mobile phone covers, cable covers, consumer goods, and footwear. This GEM enhances tensile strength and elasticity, resulting in weight reductions of up to 25% in specific applications.

Black Swan is committed to scaling up the production and market introduction of patented graphene products that offer high performance at a low cost. These products are targeted at diverse industrial sectors such as concrete, polymers, Li-ion batteries, and more, all of which anticipate significant graphene demand. Black Swan plans to capitalize on Québec's advantageous factors like low-cost, green hydroelectricity and its proximity to the province's growing graphite industry. This strategy aims to establish an integrated supply chain, lower overall costs, and expedite the adoption of graphene in various applications.
