The expansion, which represents a 50% increase in output, is designed to meet the rising demand for high-quality ammonium chloride while improving the efficiency of the production process.

By integrating the new ammonium chloride process into its Verbund production network, BASF has optimized efficiency and sustainability. This advanced process enables the production of ammonium chloride with even higher purity, catering to the evolving needs of various industries.

In the food industry, it serves as a flavoring agent, while in animal feed production, it acts as an essential acid regulator. Furthermore, it is used as an additive in leather tanning.
