Avaada Group, a renowned company specializing in the "sand to molecule" process, is delighted to declare the formalization of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Mysore Ammonia, a prominent distributor and trader of ammonia in India. This strategic collaboration marks a notable step forward in the provision of green ammonia, with the objective of assisting diverse industries in their shift towards sustainable energy sources.
Based in Mumbai, Mysore Ammonia possesses a strong supply chain encompassing midstream storage and transportation, catering efficiently to diverse clientele across various sectors. The partnership with Avaada is poised to augment the accessibility of green ammonia, a pivotal element in the global endeavor towards cleaner energy.
The MoU was officially signed between Avaada Green Fuels Private Limited, a subsidiary of Avaada Group, and Mysore Ammonia and Chemicals Limited at Avaada's Mumbai headquarters. The agreement delineates a comprehensive supply contract for green ammonia, aiming for an annual volume of 100,000 metric tons.
The signing ceremony was graced by distinguished personalities, among them Mr. Vineet Mittal, Chairman of Avaada Group; Mr. Nitin Chabria, Managing Director of Mysore Ammonia and Chemicals Ltd; Mr. Narinder Goyal, President of New Initiatives/Ammonia Business at Avaada; and Mr. Jitendra Singh, Assistant Vice President of New Initiatives/Ammonia Business at Avaada, alongside other senior officials.
In response to the MoU, Mr. Vineet Mittal, Chairman of Avaada Group, remarked, “The execution of this MoU with Mysore Ammonia marks a noteworthy achievement in our quest for sustainable energy solutions. It highlights our steadfast dedication to promoting the production of green fuels such as green ammonia in India, essential for facilitating the shift towards a low-carbon economy. By harnessing our advanced technology and proficiency, we aspire to assist industries in substantially curbing their carbon emissions and promoting environmental responsibility.”
This collaboration follows Avaada's declaration in September of last year, detailing its intentions to construct a Green Hydrogen and Green Ammonia production facility with a capacity of 0.5 MTPA at Tata Steel SEZ Industrial Park in Gopalpur, Odisha. This endeavor reinforces Avaada's leading position in the realm of green fuel technologies.
Avaada Group spearheads the energy transition through its involvement in Renewable Energy Generation, Solar PV Manufacturing, the development of Green Fuels such as Green Ammonia, Green Methanol, and Sustainable Aviation Fuel, and the provision of Energy Storage Solutions. Under the leadership of Mr. Vineet Mittal, the group has emerged as a prominent global energy entity. Avaada Energy, the renewable power generation segment, targets a capacity of 11 GWp by 2026.
