Akna Energy Awards Contract to Splitwaters for 20 MW Green Hydrogen Project

Pioneering the journey towards a Sustainable Green Economy, Splitwaters, an electrolyzer manufacturer and EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) firm headquartered in Houston, has inked a deal with Akna Energy, LLC for the development of a 20 MW Green Hydrogen Plant slated for completion and operation by late 2025. Serving as the inaugural installment among several Green Hydrogen plants on Akna's agenda, this facility aims to produce over 3 million kilograms of green hydrogen annually, with its operational debut scheduled for the latter part of 2025. Under the agreement, Splitwaters will deliver a comprehensive turnkey solution for the green hydrogen plant, encompassing the supply of electrolyzers, as well as assuming responsibility for engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning. Partnering with Splitwaters in this endeavor is Zentech Inc., based in Houston, Texas, boasting over 40 years of engineering and project management expertise, thereby enhancing the engineering aspect of the project, which is currently in full swing to meet the project's stringent deadlines.
Paul Hudson, CEO of Akna Energy, expressed enthusiasm regarding the collaboration with Splitwaters, citing their profound expertise in Green Hydrogen generation, modular approach, compact design, lower initial Capex, and swift delivery as decisive factors in their selection. He emphasized the advanced stage of engineering designs and equipment fabrication for the plant, expressing eagerness for the timely and budget-compliant delivery of their first plant, with many more in the pipeline.
