Zelandez and JordProxa Sign Pact to Scale Up Lithium Carbonate Production

On June 27, 2024, JordProxa and Zelandez unveiled a partnership aimed at expediting the supply of lithium sourced from brine mining companies in North and South America.

The partnership connects the foremost provider of lithium brinefield technology globally with a renowned leader in modular plant design.

Their main objective is to facilitate the rollout of Zelandez's Early Lithium Carbonation Facility (ErLi), a pre-assembled solution for producing lithium carbonate. Through leasing ErLi units from Zelandez, the initiative aims to expedite the early commercialization of premium lithium reserves before establishing larger permanent facilities.

Gene Morgan, CEO of Zelandez, characterizes the new partnership as a seamless match between two companies dedicated to enhancing the sustainable future of lithium brine extraction.

Together with the Zelandez engineering team, JordProxa will handle the engineering development of each prefabricated module for ErLi, provide fabrication services, and offer continuous technical support.

Clint Van Marrewijk, co-founder and director of Zelandez, emphasizes the importance of prefabricated lithium plants in boosting the supply of battery-grade lithium to the United States.

In this new collaboration, JordProxa becomes a part of Zelandez's technology alliance network. Zelandez has established partnerships with top providers in Direct Lithium Extraction, water treatment, and drilling throughout South America's lithium brinefields.
