Vallourec, a global leader in premium seamless tubular solutions, has been awarded a major contract valued at over $130 million by Kuwait Oil Company (KOC). The agreement, set to span across 2025 and 2026, will see Vallourec supply Oil Country Tubular Goods (OCTG) for KOC’s drilling operations. This contract highlights Vallourec’s strength in delivering high-quality products designed for the most demanding oil and gas projects.

Under the terms of the deal, Vallourec will provide KOC with carbon steel OCTG products featuring premium connections and proprietary steel grades. Notably, the agreement includes Vallourec’s high-torque flush premium connections, known for their technical sophistication and reliability in deep drilling applications. This makes Vallourec the supplier of choice for the most advanced part of KOC’s recent tender, emphasizing the company’s reputation for excellence in the field.

Vallourec has a long-standing presence in Kuwait, having supported KOC for many years with products tailored to both offshore and onshore projects. This new contract is a direct result of KOC’s plans to ramp up oil production to 4 million barrels per day by 2035, which includes expanding the scale and complexity of its drilling operations. The deal follows KOC’s tender issuance in September 2024, which sought specialized equipment for deep drilling initiatives.
