On July 16, 2024, U.S. Silica Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: SLCA), a diversified industrial minerals company and a leading provider of last-mile logistics to the oil and gas sector, announced that its planned acquisition by funds managed by Apollo affiliates, a prominent global investment firm, has been approved at a special stockholder meeting. The transaction, which is all-cash, is still subject to the agreement's terms and conditions. Pending these, the company anticipates completing the merger before the current quarter ends.

At the Special Meeting, approximately 78% of the Company's outstanding shares were cast, with over 75% voting in favor of the Merger. The final voting results will be disclosed in a Current Report on Form 8-K filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
