Trinseo Unveils LIGOS C 9031 for Advanced Coating Applications

Trinseo has introduced LIGOS™ C 9031, a dual-purpose solution designed for high-quality interior wall paints (including low-pressure vinyl chloride, high-pressure vinyl chloride, and quartz variants). This new styrene acrylic emulsion provides outstanding washability and scrub resistance, enabling seamless touch-ups without compromising the final finish. LIGOS™ C 9031 surpasses the ASTM D 2486 standard for wet scrub performance, making it ideal for environments with elevated humidity levels.

Drawing from over 70 years of expertise in latex binders, Trinseo's latex emulsion is a key component of the company's portfolio, offering competitive, high-performance, and sustainable solutions.

LIGOS™ C 9031 features built-in viscosity management, allowing manufacturers to fine-tune pH levels and optimize the use of thickeners. Its advanced formulation ensures low viscosity for spray coating without clogging, medium viscosities for precise thickness control, and smooth application with minimal resistance during rolling and brushing.

The emulsion is part of Trinseo’s CO2NET™ product lineup, engineered to produce a minimum of 50% fewer carbon emissions compared to standard equivalents. Additionally, LIGOS™ C 9031 meets Nordic Swan Eco-Label, EC1+ and Blue Angel standards, ensuring low levels of volatile organic compounds (VOCs).
