Trelleborg Group, a global leader in engineered polymer solutions, announced on April 2 that it has acquired National Gummi AB from the Swedish industrial group National, effective immediately.

National Gummi AB, based in Halmstad, Sweden, specializes in the development and manufacturing of extruded rubber profiles and gaskets tailored for niche segments within the construction, industrial, and automotive sectors. The company reported sales of just over SEK 150 million (approximately $13.95 million) in 2024, with a primary market presence in Northern Europe.

Jean-Paul Mindermann, Business Area President of Trelleborg Industrial Solutions, expressed his enthusiasm about the acquisition, stating, “This is an exciting addition to our portfolio. National has specialist capabilities and knowhow which will allow us to broaden our value-adding offering to customers across Europe.” He further emphasized the strategic fit, highlighting how National Gummi’s focused product range and established presence in Northern Europe will complement Trelleborg’s existing strengths and market reach.

The production operations of National Gummi AB, located in Halmstad, Sweden, will now be integrated into Trelleborg Industrial Solutions’ existing global network. This integration is expected to leverage Trelleborg’s extensive operational expertise and global reach to further optimize efficiency and expand the market penetration of National Gummi’s products.
