Thirumalai updates on its upcoming expansion projects

Construction of Thirumalai Chemical’s Phthalic Anhydride Dahej plant is progressing as per schedule, and the total sales from its production will be reported in the coming financial year. The company has been striving towards setting up its manufacturing units in 4 different locations in 3 countries keeping in mind the risks and associated advantages with different geographies. TCL is also expanding its footprints to Netherlands where it is setting up a plant with investment of about Rs 100 crore. The plant is highly automated and the first of its kind in the Netherlands and will commence its business activities from the next Financial Year. Moreover, Thirumalai’s US Subsidiary is in its culminating stages for evaluation of its Food Ingredients Project which would include Maleic and Fumaric Acid production having capacity of 30,000 MT per year. The company ensures that the plant will enable advantageous growth in various intermediates and fine chemicals. The company has spent around 200 crores towards capital expenditure in fulfilling its long-term initiative i.e. revamp of Phthalic Anhydride facility in Tamil Nadu which is aimed at improving Technology & Efficiencies and reducing emissions. The Revamp Project has been completed and is in stable operation.
