Swedish Firm Enerpoly Gains $600K Grant from Vinnova for Zinc-Ion Battery Research

Enerpoly, a zinc-ion battery developer based in Sweden, has achieved a significant milestone by securing a two-year grant from Vinnova, the Swedish Governmental Agency for Innovation Systems. This grant, amounting to $600,000, represents a pivotal opportunity for Enerpoly to accelerate the industrialization and optimization of its groundbreaking zinc-ion battery technology. With this latest injection of funds, the total funding raised by the company has now reached $53,08,775.
The primary focus of the Vinnova grant is to facilitate advancements in the intricate industrial processes involved in the fabrication of electrodes for zinc-ion batteries. Enerpoly's objective is to significantly enhance the volume and efficiency of various electrode fabrication stages, with the aim of increasing their capacity by up to 50-fold while minimizing waste and scrap production.
