Europe: Fulgar teams up with CHT to create innovative technology aimed at minimizing the use of natural resources. The project combines Fulgar's textured yarns and CHT's eco-friendly dyeing solutions, resulting in significant water and energy savings while maintaining color solidity in the finished textile products. Fulgar, recognized as a leading competitor in the international synthetic fiber market, is renowned for its outstanding capabilities in manufacturing and delivering custom-designed Polyamide 6,6 and coated elastomers for both the technical and textile industries. Founded in the 1970s, Fulgar has always maintained an international presence.

Without wasting any time, indeed quickly expanded its operations and established new facilities and plants, thereby emerging as a global leader in its industry. Fulgar, a pioneer in the textile industry, seamlessly blends traditional Italian quality with modern technology and innovation. From chemistry to texturization, Fulgar covers all stages of processing and more. Its contemporary business model emphasizes product development, innovative solutions for cutting-edge textiles, as well as a strong corporate commitment to sustainability and human resources. Fulgar truly stands out in its league.

Fulgar's 100% bio-based EVO yarns were used for the project, and the sustainable dyeing process generated up to 64% reduction in water use, 50% reduction in energy consumption, and 50% reduction in time compared to standard dyeing processes.

A new renewable yarn made from castor oil has been developed, requiring only a fraction of the water used in cotton production. Known as EVO, this sustainable yarn boasts low weight, enhanced stretch performance, and effective moisture management without the need for additional materials. This leads to improved recycling opportunities and adds comfort for sports and casual wear. The dyeing process for EVO incorporates soy-based dyes, such as CHT's Sarabid TS 300. Additionally, the collaboration with Fulgar's Q-Cycle yarn - a 100% recycled nylon fibre - results in significant reductions in water use, energy consumption, and process times.

Fulgar has announced that Q-Cycle, its innovative yarn, possesses similar functional and aesthetic benefits as virgin Polyamide while being environmentally sustainable. The yarn can be utilized for all textile applications, and the use of Sarabid IPD in combination with PAFIX LBS offers the same level of quality and comfort as conventional Polyamides. Moreover, Q-Cycle has received the ISCC PLUS certification, ensuring sustainability, traceability, and mass balance throughout the production process, along with a significant reduction in CO2 emissions compared to traditional synthetic yarns. Additionally, the LCA supply chain environmental impact study further complements this certification.

The sustainability of yarns and dyes significantly impacts consumer choices. As a result, it is crucial for us to approach the supply chain from an eco-design perspective, partnering with various companies to promote sustainability issues such as measurability and adopting production processes that are monitored and optimized. Fulgar has decided to team up with CHT because of their long-standing commitment towards developing ecological solutions that minimize the impact on the environment while producing materials and products.
