Splitwaters, a US-based technological leader in electrolyzer and Balance of Plant (BOP) solutions for green hydrogen production, has formed a strategic partnership with India's renewable energy powerhouse, Oriana Power. This collaborative effort aims to accelerate the development of large-scale green hydrogen and e-fuel (green ammonia, e-methanol, and green methanol) facilities within the Indian market. By combining Splitwaters' cutting-edge technology with Oriana Power's deep-rooted presence and expertise in India's renewable energy landscape, the partnership is poised to drive significant advancements in the country's clean energy transition.

In this strategic partnership, Oriana Power will spearhead business development and project execution in the Indian market, delivering electrolyzers and all necessary equipment for green hydrogen projects, in addition to providing comprehensive EPC (engineering, procurement, and construction) services. The alkaline electrolyzer and associated equipment will utilize Splitwaters' cutting-edge technology and modular design. This integrated solution is designed to cut capital expenditure (CAPEX) for green hydrogen and e-Fuel projects by up to 30%, enhancing the cost-effectiveness and efficiency of these sustainable energy initiatives.

Oriana Power will extend its support to Splitwaters' green hydrogen and e-Fuel projects beyond India by leveraging its expertise and market presence to advance the industry. Initially, Splitwaters will provide electrolyzers and Balance of Plant (BOP) equipment from the United States, while the two companies collaborate on establishing a local factory in India for manufacturing electrolyzers and BOP modules.

Oriana Power is planning to establish a fully operational demonstration unit for green hydrogen production in India. This initiative will offer a tangible, hands-on experience for developers, investors, and industry stakeholders. The demonstration unit will showcase the latest equipment and technology used in green hydrogen production, allowing visitors to observe the entire process, from equipment functionality and quality of workmanship to the actual production of green hydrogen.

This partnership between Splitwaters and Oriana Power is highly promising for the green hydrogen and e-fuels sector. The enthusiasm for this collaboration is evident, and by leveraging their combined expertise and groundbreaking technologies, the two companies are well-positioned to lead the green hydrogen revolution in India. Their joint efforts are set to pave the way for a cleaner, more efficient, and cost-effective energy future.

Anirudh Saraswat, Chief Business Officer of Oriana Power, expressed strong enthusiasm for their partnership with Splitwaters, praising the company's innovative modular containerized solution. He emphasized the potential of the collaboration to substantially decrease capital expenditures for green hydrogen and e-fuels projects, enabling clients to expedite their Final Investment Decisions while maintaining competitive pricing.

Deepak Bawa, CEO of Splitwaters, expressed his excitement about the partnership with Oriana Power, praising the collaboration as a groundbreaking advancement in the green hydrogen and e-fuels sector. He highlighted Oriana Power's local expertise, EPC capabilities, and experience as key assets that complement Splitwaters' innovative modular approach. Bawa noted that Oriana Power’s use of "minimum stick-built construction (less than 20%)" allows for effective control over timelines and budgets, delivering "plug-and-play modules" that reduce uncertainty and risk for clients and investors. This streamlined and collaborative approach not only ensures project success but also builds confidence in the partnership. Bawa concluded with optimism about the potential to revolutionize the green hydrogen market in India, anticipating significant strides forward with Oriana Power.
