Sirmax Group, headquartered in Cittadella (Padua) and specializing in the manufacture of polypropylene compounds, technopolymers, post-consumer compounds, and bio-compounds across various applications, has entered into a collaboration with Arper to bring forth an innovative sustainable design collection. This collaborative effort has given rise to the "Aava 02" seating line, designed by Finnish designer Antti Kotilainen for Arper, a renowned Italian brand celebrated for its design excellence.

The "Aava 02" line comprises chairs crafted from a blend of post-consumer recycled plastic and virgin polypropylene. This unique combination yields furniture that is not only exceptionally durable and versatile but also lightweight and environmentally sustainable. As part of their showcase at the Plast 2023 international trade fair, taking place in Milan from September 5th to 8th, which gathers key players in the plastics and rubber industry, the Sirmax Group is proudly presenting "Aava 02" alongside its extensive range of thermoplastic resin compounds. This exhibition serves as an opportunity for attendees to explore the potential of post-consumer regenerated plastics.

Plast 2023 holds significance for Sirmax beyond the launch of their new sustainable collection. The group is also taking this occasion to introduce new names for its various divisions. Specifically, the group's production of bio compounds will be rebranded as Sirmax Biocomp, emphasizing their commitment to environment-friendly materials. Meanwhile, their plastics production business will be known as Sirmax New Life, reflecting their dedication to sustainable and eco-conscious practices.

The partnership between Sirmax Group and Arper has resulted in a groundbreaking design collection that embodies the principles of sustainability and innovation. Sirmax, with its expertise in polypropylene compounds and eco-friendly materials, has played a pivotal role in the development of the "Aava 02" seating line. These chairs, produced through a combination of post-consumer recycled plastic and virgin polypropylene, offer a compelling solution to the growing demand for environmentally conscious and durable furniture.

The utilization of post-consumer recycled plastic in the manufacturing process not only reduces the environmental impact by reusing materials but also promotes the circular economy. This approach aligns with global efforts to reduce plastic waste and minimize the carbon footprint associated with product production.

The Plast 2023 international trade fair serves as the perfect platform to unveil this pioneering collection to a global audience. This event brings together industry leaders, experts, and enthusiasts, providing a valuable opportunity to showcase the "Aava 02" line and educate attendees about the benefits of post-consumer regenerated plastics.

In addition to the introduction of the sustainable collection, Sirmax is taking steps to streamline its branding and emphasize its commitment to sustainable practices. The decision to rename their bio compounds production as Sirmax Biocomp reflects their dedication to developing and promoting environment-friendly materials that contribute to a greener future. On the other hand, the plastics production division's new name, Sirmax New Life, underscores their focus on sustainable and eco-conscious processes.
