Sheboygan Paint Company Completes Acquisition of Bradley Coatings Group

Sheboygan Paint Company, a fifth-generation family-owned manufacturer of liquid industrial coatings based in Wisconsin, has announced its acquisition of Bradley Coatings Group from United Paint & Chemical Corporation. The acquisition, effective as of July 24, 2024, marks a significant expansion for Sheboygan Paint Company, although the financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.

Bradley Coatings and Sheboygan Paint Company will work together to ensure a seamless transition for their customers. As part of this process, production operations will be integrated into Sheboygan Paint Company’s existing facilities in Wisconsin and Georgia. This partnership aims to ensure continuity of service and minimize any disruptions during the transition, leveraging Sheboygan Paint Company’s established infrastructure to support Bradley Coatings' customers effectively.

Paul Krueger, President & CEO of Sheboygan Paint Company, praised the acquisition of Bradley Coatings, highlighting how it will enhance their extensive product lineup. He stated, the acquisition of Bradley Coatings strategically enhances our product portfolio, providing customers with a broader range of options across water, solvent, and radiation cure technologies. Krueger noted that Bradley’s strong presence and growth in the transportation sector align with Sheboygan Paint’s strategic vision. He appreciated Bradley's ability to cultivate a loyal customer base through exceptional service and customized formulations. Looking ahead, Krueger expressed enthusiasm about leveraging the expanded product portfolio to strengthen existing relationships and drive future growth.

Jay Brownrigg, Chairman of the Board, expressed strong confidence in the acquisition of Bradley Coatings, highlighting it as a significant enhancement to their business. He emphasized that this acquisition aligns with the Sheboygan Paint Company's enduring legacy and commitment to growth. Founded in 1921, Sheboygan Paint Company has a long history in the coatings industry. Bradley Coatings Group, established in 1946 and acquired by United Paint & Chemical Corporation in 2017, serves over 100 customers across North America with coatings for various end-use applications, particularly in the transportation and general industrial metal sectors.
