The RFA has proudly announced a significant addition to its member base with the inclusion of Chief Ethanol, a highly regarded entity in Nebraska's ethanol industry. Chief Ethanol's flagship biorefinery, situated in Hastings, Nebraska, holds a distinctive honor as the state's very first dry-mill ethanol plant. This pioneering facility has been operational since 1985, making it a longstanding and influential player in Nebraska's ethanol landscape. In addition to its Hastings plant, Chief Ethanol has been operating a biorefinery in Lexington, Nebraska, since 2016. These two state-of-the-art facilities collectively possess an impressive production capacity, churning out over 120 million gallons of renewable fuel on an annual basis.

Geoff Cooper, the President and CEO of the RFA, expressed his genuine enthusiasm for the inclusion of Chief Ethanol as the organization's latest producer member.
