Plaskolite Scores Big with Purchase of Trinseo's Mexican Manufacturing Facility

Mexico: Trinseo, a specialty material solutions provider, has recently announced the signing of an agreement to sell its land, buildings, and equipment located in Matamoros, Mexico to Plaskolite. The transaction is anticipated to be concluded in the coming weeks.

Trinseo, in its asset restructuring efforts, has decided to consolidate some of its PMMA sheet products previously located at the Matamoros site. Starting December 2022, the production of these consolidated products will now take place at the company's continuous sheet manufacturing operations located in Florence, Kentucky. It's important to note that none of Trinseo's sheet business will be acquired by Plaskolite.

The company sheet manufacturing business consolidation is underway, enabling us to better optimize resources and continue delivering on transformation strategy. As a result of this consolidation, selling Matamoros assets to Plaskolite. This sale will not only provide the opportunity for the plant to keep operating but also ensure that jobs are retained for the Matamoros community.

The Matamoros plant is located on nearly 11 acres in Matamoros City, which is situated in the State of Tamaulipas, Mexico.
