Orion S.A. (NYSE: OEC), a leading global producer of specialty chemicals, is currently in the process of installing several tanks for tire pyrolysis oil at its facility in Jaslo, Poland. This initiative marks Orion's latest step in enhancing the production of circular carbon black.

The tanks will function as receiving stations for tire pyrolysis oil (TPO) delivered to the plant. From these tanks, the TPO will be pumped into furnace black reactors where it will undergo transformation into circular carbon black.

Orion is the sole producer in its sector to manufacture carbon black exclusively from 100% tire pyrolysis oil (TPO). The company offers a variety of circular grades that are currently on the market and suitable for a wide range of applications.

The circular process tackles a significant challenge in the tire industry, focusing on finding sustainable ways to recycle old tires and reduce the environmental impact associated with tire waste.

Pedro Riveros, senior vice president of Global Rubber Carbon Black at Orion, emphasized, "Our collaboration with TPO producers reflects our joint dedication to sustainability and innovation. Together, we're effecting positive change throughout the industry value chain, from managing tire waste to recovering valuable resources."
