OQ Chemicals has officially announced a price increase for several of its Oxo Intermediates products manufactured at its Bay City facility in Texas, USA. This adjustment is scheduled to take effect on May 1, 2025, or as current contractual agreements allow. The company cites changing market dynamics, particularly those related to supply and demand, as the driving force behind this decision.
The specific products impacted by the pricing revision include n-Propanol, n-Propyl Acetate, and n-Butyl Acetate. The price changes will affect customers across multiple regions, with rates varying slightly depending on the geographical market.
For customers in North America and Mexico, the price of n-Propanol will see an increase of $0.04 per pound. Meanwhile, the same product will experience a price hike of $90 per metric ton for clients in South America.
Similarly, n-Propyl Acetate will undergo a price increase of $0.02 per pound in North America and Mexico, while customers in South America will encounter a rise of $50 per metric ton.
Lastly, the price of n-Butyl Acetate will also be adjusted upward by $0.02 per pound in North America and Mexico, with a corresponding increase of $50 per metric ton in the South American market.

The company remains committed to transparent communication with its partners and customers regarding factors influencing its pricing structures.
It’s worth noting that the new pricing will also apply to customers in other international markets, commonly referred to as ROW (Rest of World), though specific rates for these regions have not been disclosed in the current announcement.
