Oman's Cumulative Oil Production Exceeds 223 Million Barrels Through July

Until July 2023, the Sultanate of Oman has amassed a total oil production, encompassing condensates, surpassing the mark of 223.544 million barrels. This figure indicates a marginal uptick of 0.2% when juxtaposed with the 223.176 million barrels recorded during the corresponding period in the previous year. Initial data, sourced from the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI), underscores the nation's commitment to consistently meeting global oil demand. The daily average production, standing at 1.054 million barrels, signifies Oman's unwavering dedication to this cause.
Delving into specifics, Oman's crude oil production achieved a tally of 174.642 million barrels. This reflects a modest contraction of 1.5% in comparison to the equivalent period the prior year, which recorded 177.307 million barrels. Despite this decline, it's worth highlighting the commendable maintenance of a substantial output level, which underscores the country's resilience in the face of multifaceted challenges within the global oil market.
Conversely, Oman's condensate production experienced a notable upswing of 6.6%, reaching a sum of 48.902 million barrels until July 2023, as opposed to the 45.869 million barrels noted during the equivalent period in the preceding year. This surge shines a light on Oman's proactive endeavors to diversify its energy portfolio and tap into alternative hydrocarbon sources.
On the front of oil prices, Oman witnessed a decrement in the average price per barrel. Averaging at $80.5 per barrel, this figure indicates a decline of 13.3% in contrast to the previous year's average of $92.8 per barrel.
Oman's oil exports to key nations exhibited diverse trends. Exports to Japan saw a 20% reduction, settling at 5.845 million barrels. Meanwhile, exports to South Korea experienced a substantial drop of 77.8%, dwindling to 1.951 million barrels. In stark contrast, Oman's oil exports to China surged by 12.8%, soaring to 163.167 million barrels. This progression underscores the nation's escalating significance as a prominent supplier to the world's second-largest economy. In contrast, exports to India witnessed a significant decline of 90.1%, receding to 2.716 million barrels from the preceding year's 27.378 million barrels. Interestingly, other countries displayed a remarkable surge in imports from Oman, manifesting a remarkable growth rate of 227.8% in comparison to the previous year, rising from 1.609 million barrels to 5.275 million barrels until July of the present year.
In the aggregate, Oman's total oil exports reached 178.956 million barrels. While this represents a reduction of 5.7% in relation to the previous year's exports totaling 189.776 million barrels, Oman remains a significant contributor to the global oil market, playing a pivotal role in upholding energy sector stability.
