NOA Lithium Brines Inc. has officially launched preparations for its 2025 water exploration campaign at the Rio Grande Project, located in Salta Province, Argentina. The company announced that its drilling contractor has mobilized the drilling rig, with operations set to begin within the next 20 days. To ensure a timely start, site preparation activities are already in progress.
According to NOA's CEO, Gabriel Rubacha, geophysical surveys conducted on the Rio Grande properties have already identified areas with high potential for water resources. The upcoming exploration campaign is considered a pivotal milestone for the company. It will provide critical data that will contribute to the company's Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA), which is expected to be awarded in the near future. Rubacha emphasized the importance of this work, noting that it will play a crucial role in accurately assessing the development potential of the Rio Grande Project.
The Rio Grande Project stands as NOA Lithium’s flagship asset, boasting an estimated 4.7 million tons of lithium carbonate equivalent (LCE) at an average lithium concentration of 525 milligrams per liter. In December 2024, NOA completed the final property payments, securing full ownership of all claims associated with the Rio Grande Project.
This water exploration initiative is a significant step in the overall development plan for the Rio Grande Project, following earlier drilling and technical efforts. The data gathered during this campaign is expected to be instrumental in advancing the project toward its next phase, setting the stage for future development and a comprehensive valuation of its potential.
As NOA continues to move forward with this important exploration work, the company remains focused on strengthening its position in the lithium market, aiming for the successful development of its flagship Rio Grande Project.
NOA is a lithium exploration and development company focused on acquiring high-potential resource assets. Strategically positioned in Argentina’s Salta province—part of the world-renowned Lithium Triangle—NOA benefits from a supportive mining environment and proximity to major lithium projects owned by leading industry players. The company has quickly assembled one of the largest lithium brine claim portfolios in the region that remains under non-producing ownership. Its land holdings span over 140,000 hectares and include strategic claims across three highly prospective salars: Rio Grande, Arizaro, and Salinas Grandes. These locations are recognized for their geological potential and are surrounded by ongoing exploration and production activities. NOA's rapid consolidation of these key assets positions it as a significant emerging player in the lithium sector, offering substantial long-term growth opportunities as global demand for lithium continues to rise.
