Neste, the world's leading producer of sustainable aviation fuel and renewable diesel, and DB Schenker, a global logistics service provider, announced a significant collaboration aimed at accelerating the adoption of Neste MY Renewable Diesel within DB Schenker’s land transport operations across Singapore and the wider Asia-Pacific region.

The collaboration builds upon a successful trial conducted in Singapore between December 2024 and February 2025. This trial marked the first instance of Neste MY Renewable Diesel being utilized for road transportation in Singapore, powering DB Schenker's land transport fleet. A key advantage of Neste MY Renewable Diesel is its compatibility with existing diesel engines. As a direct drop-in fuel, it requires no additional investments or modifications to vehicle engines or the existing fuel distribution infrastructure, making the transition seamless and cost-effective.

The land transport sector in Singapore accounts for approximately 15% of the nation's carbon emissions, highlighting the urgent need for lower-emission alternatives. The trial results demonstrated the significant potential of Neste MY Renewable Diesel in addressing this challenge. Compared to conventional fossil diesel, Neste MY Renewable Diesel can reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by up to 90% over its lifecycle. This substantial reduction showcases the feasibility and effectiveness of adopting renewable diesel as a viable solution for DB Schenker to significantly decarbonize its land transport activities in the region.

Ee Pin Lee, Head of Commercial APAC, Renewable Products at Neste, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, "This collaboration with DB Schenker marks a significant milestone as the first use of Neste MY Renewable Diesel for road transport in Singapore. It clearly demonstrates the crucial role our renewable solution can play in supporting DB Schenker's ambitious sustainability objectives. We are deeply committed to expanding our collaboration with DB Schenker, both in Singapore and across the Asia-Pacific region, to contribute meaningfully towards a lower-emission logistics sector."

Echoing this sentiment, Christoph Matthes, Senior Vice President, Head of Land Transport in APAC at DB Schenker, emphasized the company's dedication to environmental responsibility. "DB Schenker is firmly committed to minimizing our ecological footprint in all our operations. Expanding the adoption of Neste MY Renewable Diesel is a crucial step in realizing this commitment. We firmly believe that through collaborations like this, and with the use of renewable diesel as a readily available and effective solution, we can collectively transform our industry and offer truly sustainable logistics options to our partners and customers in the region."
