Mayur Uniquoters Ltd starts production at its PU Artificial Leather Manufacturing unit at Sitapur

Mayur Uniquoters Ltd has announced that operations at its newly set up Polyurethane (PU) artificial leather manufacturing plant / PU coated textile plant at Morena, near Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh) will commence from today. The total expenditure for setting up this plant has been estimated to be Rs 140 crore with about Rs 90 crore utilized for the first phase (Two Lines) and Rs 50 crore for second phase (Additional Three Lines). The plant’s installed capacity in FY20 is 5 Lakh Linear Meters per month and as per recent announcements, expected to reach 10 Lakh Linear Meters per month by FY21. Currently, India is importing around 15 million meters of PU leather per month. The new plant will cater to India’s increasing demand for PU Artificial Leather which will further complement the company's current strength and facilitate the movement of indigenous PU artificial Leather in the Indian Leather goods industry.
