Lummus Secures Heater Supply Contracts with Reliance Industries

Lummus Technology, celebrated for its cutting-edge process technologies and energy solutions, has recently clinched a contract with Reliance Industries Ltd. This agreement involves the supply of four Short Residence Time (SRT®) ethylene cracking heaters, set to enhance operations at two of Reliance's facilities in India. Known for its innovation in maximizing efficiency and sustainability, Lummus continues to play a pivotal role in advancing industrial capabilities across the global energy sector.

Under the agreement, Lummus will oversee the entire lifecycle of four ethylene cracking heaters, including design, engineering, procurement, supply, commissioning, and startup. Two heaters will be installed at Reliance's gas cracking unit (GCU) in Dahej, Gujarat, while the remaining two will be deployed at the Nagothane facility in Maharashtra. The heaters are designed to optimize energy efficiency with advanced heat recovery systems and are configured for 100 percent hydrogen firing.

Lummus Heat Transfer (LHT), a division specializing in heat transfer solutions, has a track record of innovation in fired heaters, including the SRT® pyrolysis furnace, and advanced heat exchangers such as the HelixchangerTM, LABLEXTM, and PolarisTM breech-lock exchanger. This contract underscores Lummus's leadership in providing cutting-edge technologies tailored to meet critical process requirements in the petrochemical industry.
