Steady demand and supply fundamentals have kept the price of luliconazole API in both the Asian and European markets stable in February 2023. However, reducing inflationary pressures has allowed for a modest recovery of consumer confidence. The supply-demand situation allows regional players to sustain successful arbitrage in their respective markets.
In anticipation of a recovery in demand from pharmaceutical manufacturers after the Spring Festival holiday, the price of Luliconazole API rose by around 1% last month when the Chinese government relaxed the Covid ban. However, as the market reopened, it lacked a robust start. The market for Luliconazole API is off to a slow start following the Lunar New Year's holiday, which means prices will be nearly unchanged by the end of February 2023. The Luliconazole API supply is being attentively watched with the increase in operating rates. Contrary to demand, Chinese manufacturers have enough inventory to fill urgent orders. While merchants focused on replenishing their existing stocks with a fresh supply, new requests for Luliconazole API from abroad are progressively rising.
In February, the cost of Luliconazole API in Germany has been steadily rising. Prices increased in January due to high demand and low inventories. As we go into February, the local German market's demand for Luliconazole API is unchanged. In contrast, market participants focus on increasing supply by bringing in new inventory for the local market without considering the demand. Before concluding their monthly purchases, buyers argue over price in the interim. As a result, several suppliers have adopted prices in February that are somewhat similar to those in January.
According to the ChemAnalyst team, the Luliconazole API prices are projected to remain stable in the upcoming months as market participants anticipate a decline in demand from the pharmaceutical end-user sector. A sufficient supply among the suppliers could also result in a decrease in pricing.
