Lion completes acquisition of Firestone SR plant

Lion Elastomers L.L.C has now acquired the Firestone Polymers synthetic rubber plant in Orange, Texas. The price of purchase has not yet been disclosed.

The recently bought Orange plant produces polybutadiene, styrene-butadiene block copolymers and solution styrene-butadiene rubber under the brand names of Stereon, Diene and Duradene.

 Lions also operates through the facilities at Geismar, La., and Port Neches, Texas, in addition to the facility at Orange.
