InZinc Mining Ltd. has secured a critical five-year extension to its drill permit for the Indy Sedex zinc-lead-silver project, strategically positioned 90 kilometers southeast of Prince George, British Columbia. This authorization empowers the company to execute up to 60 drill holes, construct necessary access trails, and undertake related activities, marking a significant milestone in the project's advancement.

The geological setting at Indy closely resembles that of the metal-rich Selwyn Basin, known for its prolific mineral deposits. InZinc executed a comprehensive geological exploration program across the Main Trend area in June and early July, encompassing detailed mapping, soil geochemical analysis, and rock sampling to inform subsequent drilling activities. These efforts aim to refine the understanding of the site's potential and optimize drilling targets. Soil and rock samples have been submitted for analysis, with results expected in late August, which will provide crucial data for planning the next phase of exploration and enhancing the project's prospects.

The Selwyn Basin, a 1100 km long sedimentary belt, hosts the world’s second-largest known accumulation of Sedex deposits, including some of the largest globally. Historically, these mineralized sequences were known to extend from the Yukon into northeastern BC. The Indy project, situated approximately 500 km south of the nearest known Selwyn Basin deposit, represents a significant extension of this mineral-rich region. Its advantageous location provides excellent access to road, rail, and power infrastructure, enhancing its development potential and logistical efficiency. This strategic positioning makes the Indy project a promising addition to the exploration and potential exploitation of Sedex deposits in the region.

The widespread distribution of mineralization at Indy exhibits numerous characteristics typical of prolific Sedex districts. A significant recent discovery at Indy is the abundant presence of barite, coupled with zinc-lead enrichment, which serves as a critical exploration vector. This finding will significantly enhance exploration targeting efforts for these deposits, guiding future drilling campaigns and increasing the likelihood of identifying economically viable mineral resources. By leveraging these geological indicators, the exploration strategy at Indy can be more precisely focused, thereby optimizing resource allocation and improving the potential for successful discovery and development of Sedex-type mineral deposits.

InZinc is a North American-focused exploration company with a strategic portfolio of base and metals projects, including its flagship Indy project in central British Columbia. This easily accessible project hosts near-surface zinc mineralization within a newly identified, underexplored mineral district, providing significant exploration upside for the company. South32's Canadian subsidiary, InZinc has secured a substantial 200 km² land position within the belt, establishing itself as a key player in the region. InZinc, through its substantial equity stake in American West Metals, holds exposure to multiple North American base metals projects, further strengthening its position in the sector.
